A group of people search for unity in old and new rituals. They drop into a deep crisis, but they also celebrate. Unexpected gifts fall into their laps: passing connections and minor miracles.

Commissioned by the steirischer herbst 08 festival in Graz, her performance installation – with audience participation wavering between celebration and crisis – forces the moment in which language fails and gestures lose their meaning. Once again, Meg Stuart ventures to the limits of communication and failure of expression. By uncovering masks, fictions and desires, she attacks our vulnerability.
